Dandenong Primary School has served the community in quality education for over 140 years. Dandenong Primary is committed to moulding their students to be “productive 21st-century citizens”. To do this they are dedicated to providing the highest quality technological education. They engaged the DIB Australia team in order to give two of their primary classrooms a technology makeover.
The iJunior Interactive CommBox LCD 60″ was selected as it offers a highly interactive and engaging technology experience for young students. The iJunior Commbox panel is integrated into a comprehensive all-in-one education system. This simple touch screen is combined with a magnetic whiteboard, poster holder, bookshelf and storage space in one compact unit.
The iJunior is specifically designed to cater to the Primary School environment. The low height makes visibility and interaction perfect for young children with the system measuring just 550mm from the floor to the bottom of the screen. The system contained in one portable cupboard is easily movable and perfect for a dynamic learning experience. The portability also allows the system to be shared between rooms. Dandenong Public had the iJunior installed previously in other classrooms and were so enthralled with the effectiveness and simplicity of the system that they have continued to install more.
Further, the LCD panel is perfect for classroom us due to the brightness of the iJunior screen. It is a High Definition LCD panel so it is not affected by shadows or glare and easy to use in sunny classrooms. The pair of speakers to compliment the HD panel is built in so no additional space or installation is required in order to complete the audio-visual system.
