Based in Box Hill, the Whitehorse Manningham Regional Library has been serving its community for 20 years. Since opening in 1996, the library has had over 27 million and 61 million loans visits across its branches. The library offers a variety of services, both contemporary and traditional, including meeting room hire.
DIB Australia were brought in by the library to equip two meeting rooms and one training room with audio visual upgrades. After a site visit and consultation with the library, the DIB team provided complete audio visual works to match the client’s needs. This primarily involved the installation of a projector in each of the rooms. The chosen model was the EPSON EB-925W projector. This projector is favoured for its widescreen resolution, great brightness of 3700 lumens, and 3 year warranty. Furthermore, the projector comes at an affordable pricepoint, providing a fantastic display without breaking the bank.
As all three rooms are constantly being hired to multiple groups throughout the day, set-up and connection to the projector system had to be fast and simple. To allow for this, DIB ensured that each room had HDMI, VGA, and audio inputs. This provides for a variety of laptops and options to interface with the library AV system, no matter how modern a users’ device is.
The main meeting room also received a Joey micro wall control panel. This simplified custom wall control panel was configured by the DIB team so that users of the room can easily operate the system with clearly labelled essential functions such as ON/OFF, volume controls, and source selection. The Joey micro control panel is even able to automatically turn off the library AV system in case it is accidentally left on by a group!
