Since it’s founding in 1890, Korowa Anglican Girls School has consistently been recognised as one of Victoria’s leading independent schools. When they were recently looking at upgrading their administration building, specifically their Meeting Room, they consulted with Sam Garden of DIB Audio Visual, who has a long standing working relationship with the school.
After much consultation, working with staff to find their exact needs for the space, a simplified AV system was created to support video conferencing and other meeting requirements. It was decided that the Commbox 75 inch panel would be used as the main display, integrated with a Vaddio EasyUSB system microphone system. Attention to detail was particularly evident in this project, with cleverly designed, custom-built floor boxes and table top boxes to allow discreet hiding of cables for an aesthetically-pleasing finish. Another nice addition was the auto-switching of a HDMI-input directly underneath the Commbox display.
The BYOD (Bring your own device) video conference system was designed to facilitate easy to use video and audio conferencing which integrates well with the school’s use of Microsoft Lync (now Skype for business). It also facilitates use with any other software codec such as GoToMeeting, Zoom, Acarno and many more.
The aesthetically-pleasing design AV system was capped-off with a beautifully hidden AV rack, integrated into part of the design of the room. This included a Joey 9 control panel for easy-to-use operation by school staff.
DIB Audio Visual designed and installed an AV system that reflects the quality of education that this leading school continually aspires to achieve.
