St Paul’s Primary School is located in Bentleigh, Victoria. The school caters for students from Preparatory to Year 6, totaling approximately 370 students. St Paul’s aim is to be “welcoming, respectful and inclusive school aspiring to optimal growth and well-being for students and staff”. The school has specialist programs in Visual Arts, Physical Education and ICT. The specialty ICT program shows the schools commitment to educational technology. In order for students to achieve their optimal growth, St Paul’s offers the best in technology so that students have high-quality resources and can learn to master the newest audio visual products.
St Paul’s needed to improve the audio visual equipment in two of their classrooms. As such, they engaged the team at DIB to create a custom made technology solution.
DIB Audio Visual assessed the classrooms which needed new AV equipment and developed a plan to update and modernise the educational technology capabilities. The EPSON EB-595Wi WXGA 3,300 ANSI Interactive Finger Touch Projector was selected for both classrooms. This is due to the short-throw capability which makes images bright and free from shadows or glare. This projector turns any whiteboard into an interactive screen as the projector can process multiple touches from specialty pens as well as finger touches. A vitreous enamel whiteboard was also installed to create a smooth, white backdrop for the projector.
Two 15 Watt EPSON Quality Powered Speakers were also installed to provide crisp, clear audio to match the quality of the projector.
A USB, VGA, Audio and HDMI input plate was also installed. This ensures that the system is totally compatible with any device that students or staff are attempting to connect. These connectivity points are perfect for BYOD classrooms where collaboration and innovation are central to education.
