Bellbridge Primary educates students in a safe, vibrant environment where they are supported in their learning. Students are also encouraged to step out of their comfort zone by engaging in a wide range of activities and new opportunities. Further, Bellbridge Primary believes in the importance of technology in educating the youth of today; thus, they furnish each classroom with the best facilities and utilities possible. This is to ensure that students at their school can supplement and further their education by using all of these ICT tools.
Bellbridge Primary engaged the team at DIB with the intention of installing a new interactive projector in one of their classrooms, improving over the functionalities of the existing AV system.
Before the commencement of any works, DIB allowed for the removal of old classroom equipment (such as old projectors and speakers) as Bellbridge Primary is a valued client of the company.
An EPSON EB-695Wi Interactive Finger Touch Projector was selected for installation in the classroom. This projector is perfect for any modern classroom, as interactivity is key to keeping children entertained and excited about learning. As the projector is interactive, the projector comes with a pen that turns any whiteboard into an interactive one without installing more hardware. Students and teachers can use their fingers or the pens to interact with any projections, adding an element of fun to the usual lesson The projector is also easy and simple to use, as the projector is self-calibrating, meaning that teachers can get on with the lesson without needing to worry about setting up the projector correctly. The projector’s 3500 ANSI lumens of output also mean that it can produce vibrant, ultra-bright images, which is crucial for interactive use.
While the projector comes installed with 16W in-built speakers, DIB installed an EPSON 30 Watt stereo speaker to match the projector system. These 2 x 15 Watt speakers can produce high-quality, noise and buzz free audio, providing audio reinforcement that will help carry sound throughout the classroom.
To make the new system easier and simpler to use, DIB installed a Joey Micro wall control panel. By placing all of the new system’s functions in one central place, users can simply use the features they need by clicking the buttons on the panel rather than using easily-lost remote controls. The panels are often set up to include buttons that turn the system on and off, control the volume, and select the source to be projected.
An input plate with HDMI and VGA/audio inputs was fitted in the classroom to allow for more flexible options when it comes to connecting external devices to the system. A USB wall plate for interactive display was also fitted for use with some of the interactive projector’s features, such as saving notes made on the projector directly to a USB stick.
