Glenroy Central Primary School is a public school located in the Melbourne suburb of Glenroy. The school is co-educational and caters to approximately 240 students, expected to increase to over 300 students in the future. This school provides flexible, open learning spaces to encourage collaboration in the classroom. The school stated, “Glenroy Central Primary school is a 21st century school with open flexible learning environments”. The school’s 21st century learning environment also includes classroom technology. The technology enables this small school to have dynamic, high-quality classes which excite their pupils.
Glenroy Central Primary School engaged DIB Australia to add audio-visual capabilities to their school. The school wanted to update the technology featured in their staff and administration room. This is an important room in the school as it is where the preparation for classes occurs. As such, DIB paid careful attention to the needs of the staff and they selected an appropriate product so that the staff could present meetings and share ideas.
The Hitachi 65″ Interactive Full HD Touch monitor was selected for the administration room. This interactive monitor was selected as it has full high definition quality images, and is a large 65 inches in size. This means that all the images are clear and large so that all staff members can easily see what is being presented. Additionally, the Hitachi monitor is a touch screen, and can be interactive. This allows the screen to work as a whiteboard might to allow for brainstorming, meeting notes or annotations on a powerpoint. The Hitatchi monitor was installed on the wall with no tilt.additionally, HDMI and USB
Additionally, HDMI and USB flyleads were provided to connect to a previously installed HDMI, USB wall input. This ensures that laptops and other devices can easily connect to the Hitachi monitor.
