Classroom AV upgrades at Balwyn High School

Like all large secondary colleges, classroom AV upgrades are are an ongoing requirement as equipment ages past that 6-8 year mark and gets costly to maintain/dis-functional and tired in appearance.  In 2015 Balwyn High School in Melbourne’s East had a requirement to upgrade 13 x separate classroom spaces.

As a regular customer of DIB Audio Visual, we were invited to bid for these works along with other audio visual firms.  DIB was pleased to be awarded the project based on a competitive bid, quality installation services, innovative solutions to difficult spaces and fast and effective post installation service and support.

The works included the installation of EPSON ultra short EB-595wi finger touch interactive projectors coupled with JED T460 wall controllers, HDMI input plates with USB for interactivity and power speakers.

Classroom AV upgrades are not just about taking a cookie cutter approach; at DIB we take pride in creating custom solutions to get the best outcome for our customers.  A number of classroom required unique solutions such as our ceiling recessed installation technique for the ultra short throw projectors to allow maximum image size and height above the existing island bench arrangements.

In yet another classroom type, DIB proposed the installation of small false walls over the top of existing high level windows to allow for the neat and effective installation of the chosen EB-595wi finger touch projectors.

Some rooms required JED firmware upgrades and re-programming all of which was accommodated to ensure the minimum of waste.  Where old audio visual equipment did need to be disposed of, DIB remove it from site and ensured it was sent for specialist electronics recycling to minimise landfill and waste.

DIB is proud of its commitment to sustainable business operations which includes the recycling of all old electronic equipment taken from customer premises, as well as all foam packaging, all cardboard and paper packaging and all excess and old cables.  Each is sent to a separate specialist recycling facility to minimise waste and protect the environment.
