Hume Anglican Grammar is a coeducation school Prep – Year 12 school that takes pride in their innovative approach to teaching and learning. The team at DIB was engaged by Hume Anglican Grammar and expressed a desire to update the AV systems in four of their classrooms. After considering the requirements of the client, DIB formed a technological solution to ensure that students and teachers alike will find the technology beneficial to their teaching/learning.
Installation process
The EPSON EB-685W Ultra Short Throw Projector was selected for installation in each classroom. With 3500 ANSI lumens of output and WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution, images created by the projector are ultra bright and vivid. This vibrant nature of these images is central to readability from every angle of the classroom, whilst also attracting a student’s attention. The ultra-short throw feature of this projector is perfect for classrooms, as it overcomes any glares or shadows that may obscure the images’ clarity.

While the projector has 16W built-in speaker, the DIB team installed an additional EPSON 30 Watt speaker system to act as a form of audio reinforcement. This will ensure that everyone in the room will hear high-quality, noise-free audio.

Wall control panels were also fitted in each room, with the JED T440 in two rooms and the JED T430 in the other two. These panels add an element of simplicity to the newly installed system, making it easier to turn the system on and off, select the source to be displayed and control the volume (for the T440 model).

A HDMI input plate with integrated VGA and audio inputs was also fitted. This allows users to connect their devices locally.
