Located in Melbourne’s north west, Overnewton Anglican Community College is a high-achieving, but affordable school. The school encourages all students to complete VCE where they achieve splendid results. Overnewton is proud of its ongoing advances in ICT, frequently upgrading to take advanteage of ongoing changes in technology. From the younger year levels, students are equipped with iPads to enhance the learning experience and provide students with skills for the 21st century.
Overnewton Community College came to the team at DIB for the installation of an audio visual solution including an upgraded projector and Apple TV install. The setup was for the school’s gym so while an interactive projector wasn’t required, it had to have a large, high quality display. DIB Australia consulted with the school and chose a Epson EB-1970W for this purpose. The projector produces a crisp clear resolution with high brightness and contrast. This ensures that students all over the gym can easily see the display.
DIB Australia installed a TV antenna with the AV system, allowing free-to-air TV to be accessed from the projector. Additionally, an Apple TV install was also included. Lately, this has been a popular addition to many audio visual solutions for schools. The Apple TV allows students and teachers to easily stream content wirelessly to the projector from their iPads or other Apple devices using Airplay. Of course, the DIB team ensured that laptops could still be connected normally through a wall panel featuring VGA + audio inputs.
Provided with the system was a JoeyLITE control panel. This panel simplifies the use of the system with an array of clearly labelled essential controls.
