Yarra Valley Grammar approached the team at DIB with the intention of installing new audiovisual resources inside a music classroom, benefiting both students and staff.
Installation process
A sleek, neatly designed 80″ CommBox touch monitor was installed inside the music classroom. With a 75″ screen area, this interactive monitor can be used to promote a more hands-on learning environment, where multiple students can interact with the screen using their fingers (accomodating up to ten points of touch). The monitor’s touch functionality is supplemented by the monitor’s infrared and camera technology, ensuring an ultra fast and accurate touch response. The monitor’s ultra HD (3840×2160), 4K resolution complements the panel’s high brightness, which is essential for interactivity. In terms of audio, DIB installed a CommBox soundbar. This passive, 2 x 15 watts soundbar (which hangs directly off and below the CommBox screen) can carry sound easily throughout the classroom.
Also installed below the panel is a CommBox Control Hub9. This combination system comprises of an input plate for various inputs, including HDMI, VGA/Audio, and a USB plate made for interactive use, as well as a Joey Micro 9 wall controller, which simplifies the operation of the system by placing all of the system’s important features in an easy-to-access location. Additionally, the monitor itself provides more options for connectivity, with four additional HDMI/VGA inputs.
